Bio EOC Test Map Survey

High school science educators are invited to participate in a survey to provide feedback on the design of the biology end-of-course exam (EOC).  Developing a new exam includes developing the “test blueprint” or test map, which shows how the total points on the exam are allocated to each EALR.   In preparation for the first administration of the biology EOC in 2012, science educators are invited to complete a survey to indicate the relative importance of each standard in the cross-cutting concept and abilities (EALRS 1 through 3) as well as the Life Science domain of EALR 4 in the K-12 Science Learning Standards (adopted 2009).  Additional stakeholder input will be gathered in an early June meeting convening to provide feedback on the working draft of the biology EOC test map

The Biology EOC Test Map survey can be accessed until  5 p.m. on May 20th  at the following link: http://www.surveygizmo.com/s3/510249/Biology-end-of-course-exam-EOC-Test-Map-survey

Thank you very much for participating in this opportunity to influence the design of the biology end-of-course exam.  Please extend this invitation to as many science educators as possible.

Note:  Based on our current best judgment, we are assuming there will be a biology end-of-course exam in 2012. As you may be aware, some have proposed the idea of returning to a comprehensive science test. If that change should become the legislature’s decision, we will move forward with the development of a comprehensive test rather than the biology EOC.
